God Created Seasons For A Reason - They're All Needed ❤️
Life comes in seasons. And not just the weather outside, but the weather of our souls. Our emotions, our relationships, our faith, our work… everything moves in rhythms. Sometimes bright and easy. Sometimes heavy and hard.
We don’t get to choose which season we’re in. But we do get to choose how we walk through it — how we dress for it, how we let it shape us, and whether we trust that God is in it with us.
And just like the earth spins through spring, summer, autumn, and winter, our lives can move that way too (metaphorically)
Spring – The Season of Becoming
Spring is when the soul begins to stir again. After a long, cold silence, things begin to move — not always visibly, but deeply. It’s the season of beginnings, of possibilities. That fragile, hopeful kind of faith begins to take root again. You might feel like you're just starting to believe again. Just starting to trust again. Maybe you’ve been numb for a long time and now, finally, you’re starting to feel something again. That’s spring.
But let’s not pretend spring is all flowers and sunshine. It rains — a lot. Growth is messy. Muddy. Sometimes uncomfortable. We feel exposed, unsure, like toddlers trying to walk again. But still, God is doing something new. He’s restoring you.
Put on your rain boots. Carry your umbrella of grace. Let the soil of your heart be soft enough for seeds to take root. And don’t rush it — God makes everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
Summer – The Season of Fruitfulness
Summer is vibrant. Life is loud and bright. It’s that season where your prayers start getting answered. Where things finally seem to click. Maybe your relationships are flourishing, your work is fulfilling, your faith feels alive. The days feel long, full of laughter, light, and love. But even in summer, there’s danger in the heat. We can grow weary in the brightness. We overextend ourselves. We take abundance for granted. Sometimes we forget the Giver in the glow of the gifts.
So in summer, we must stay rooted. We drink deeply from the Word. We stay connected to our community. We rest. Yes — even in the good times, especially in the good times, we rest in Him.
Wear the sunglasses of discernment. Don’t be dazzled by the light and forget the Source. Keep your soul shaded in humility. Every good and perfect gift is from above (James 1:17).
Autumn – The Season of Surrender
Autumn comes slowly. A whisper of change in the air, a subtle cooling, a realisation: some things are ending. Some chapters are closing. Maybe you’re letting go of something you prayed would stay. Maybe your life is shifting, and it feels like you’re losing more than you’re gaining. Autumn is not a season of death. It’s a season of release. The leaves don’t fall because the tree is dying, they fall because the tree knows what must be let go for it to survive the winter.
In autumn, God is asking us to trust Him with what’s fading. To see beauty even in the letting go. The air is crisp, the light softer. It’s a sacred kind of ache, the kind that reminds us how temporary everything is, and how eternal He is.
So we put on the layers of wisdom. We wrap ourselves in prayer, in gratitude. We prepare. We forgive. Because we know something colder is coming.. but we also know He’ll be with us in that too.
“Though the fig tree does not bud… yet I will rejoice in the Lord.” (Habakkuk 3:17-18)
Winter – The Season of Waiting and Deep Rest
Winter is hard. It’s quiet, still, and at times unbearably lonely. Everything seems bare. You might be there now. You might be wondering why you feel so spiritually dry, so emotionally spent, so disconnected from hope. But listen: winter isn’t death. Winter is rest. It’s dormancy. It’s God whispering, “Be still. I’m still working, even if you can’t see it.” Underneath the snow, the roots are growing deeper. Strength is building in the unseen places. Faith is refined in the silence. Winter strips us of all that’s unnecessary — not to punish us, but to purify us.
This is when you bundle up. Wrap yourself in truth, even when it doesn’t feel true. Surround yourself with community, even if your heart doesn’t want to. You don’t have to bloom right now. You just have to be.
And remember this: Even winter has its beauty. Snowflakes. Stillness. The hush that settles when the world slows down.
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14)
Here's the beautiful truth - EVERY SEASON MATTERS.
Each season holds a gift. Each teaches us something about God, about ourselves. We can’t choose when they start or end, but we can choose to trust God in each of them. So prepare! Yes, Be wise. Dress your soul for the season you’re in. But more than anything: be present. Don’t waste your life wishing for another time, another version of yourself, another set of circumstances.
Let spring birth something new. Let summer teach you joy. Let autumn show you how to let go. Let winter invite you to rest…and through it all, know this: God is in every season — and so is His love for you.
